Community of Christ 2237 Russell Avenue West Portsmouth will be uplifting their High School and College Graduates during the 10:30 a.m. Morning Worship Service on Sunday, May 15. Seventy Daron Lilly will bring forth the Day of Pentecost/Endowment Sunday message as Priest Wayne Allen develops the weekly World Church theme of “God’s Spirit Poured Out.” Priest Luanne Day will present the musical selections for the Morning Worship hour and Deacon Vicki Allen will led the youth in Children’s Church also beginning at 10:30 a.m. The youth saints will be sponsoring a Bake Sale at Lucasville Giovanni’s from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 14 to raise funds for their annual SPEC camping trip to Lamoni Iowa in July. All are welcome.

Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church

Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 1134 13th Street in Portsmouth, Elder Harold G. Bell, Pastor. Sunday school 10 a.m.; Worship service 11 a.m.; and Bible Study Thursday evening 6 p.m.

First Church of Christ

Worship services at the First Church of Christ, 1224 Dogwood Ridge Road, Wheelersburg, will begin 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday, May 15. Sunday school will start at 9 a.m. Rase Martin, minister, will teach and preach during these services.

Ladies Bible Study will start at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, at the office annex. All ladies are invited to attend Bible study.

Christians on Local Tours will meet for lunch and fellowship at noon Tuesday, May 17, at Ponderosa, Ohio River Road, Wheelersburg. All ages are invited to fellowship with the group.

Rase Martin will have devotions at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, at the River Bend House in Wheelersburg. Praise, prayer and Bible study will start at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 18.

Helping Hands Ladies Group will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 19, at the church annex. Sharon Ward will be the hostess, and Ida Stiles will have the devotion.

Hope for the Hungry

Hope for the Hungry will take place May 14 from 1 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Tracy Park in Portsmouth. The event will include food and music. The Gideons will give Bibles out and lots of other things by Rosemount Community Church and Welcome Home Christian Fellowship Church.

Praise in the Park

The third annual Praise In The Park will take place June 4 at Tracy Park in Portsmouth. Services start at 5 p.m. Preaching by Zach Evans and Alex Bloomfield.

Living Faith Temple

The third annual Living Faith Temple’s Men’s Conference will be Saturday, May 14 and Sunday May 15. On Saturday, May 14 there will be a prayer breakfast at 10 a.m. At the PIDC Building located at 12th and Waller Streets in Portsmouth. The speaker at the breakfast will be Elder Isaac Glover from New Jerusalem Church in Ironton. On Sunday, May 15 at 5 p.m. Bishop Edward Shouse, Sr., from Temple of Praise in Columbus will be the speaker, at Living Faith Temple Church, at 1329 Kinney Street in Portsmouth.
