Clay takes out East, 12-0

The Clay Lady Panthers continue to roll on this season, picking up another SOC I win, after they defeated the Sciotoville East Lady Tartans Monday evening.

Clay shut out East 12-0 on Monday evening in Sciotoville, picking up their 18th win of the season, and improving their conference record to 12-0.

Julia Swain pitched the complete-game shutout, no-hit victory for the Lady Panthers Monday evening. She went all seven innings for the Lady Panthers giving up zero runs and zero hits, and only walked two batters. Swain got her third win on the year in a performance that also saw her strike out 15 East batters.

Bre Donahoe led the Lady Panthers in offense on Monday evening, going 4-5 from the plate with a double and an RBI, while scoring twice.

Cassidy Wells had a productive night as well for Clay, as she went 2-5, driving in three runs and scoring twice.

Clay will be in action again on Wednesday evening, as they travel to take on Eastern Brown. Game time is set for 5:00 p.m.
