Heroin, cocaine, cash. Same story – different day.
The Southern Ohio Drug Task Force, assisted by multiple agencies, executed a search warrant in Farley Court in Portsmouth, this past week which resulted in the confiscation of 37 grams of suspected heroin, seven grams of suspected cocaine and over $1,500 cash as well as additional evidence of drug trafficking.
Chester A. McKinley, 42, of 1221 I Farley Court; Devon L. Myles, 34 and Shauwn L. Patterson, 40, both of Columbus, were arrested for trafficking in heroin within the vicinity of a juvenile, a felony of the first degree. Patterson was additionally charged with trafficking in cocaine and tampering with evidence, both third-degree felonies.
On May 27, 2016 at approximately 1:50 p.m., task force officers assisted by officers and detectives from the Portsmouth Police Department, deputies and detectives from the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office, officers from the Scioto County Common Pleas Court Adult Probation Department, an investigator with the Scioto County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Portsmouth Metropolitan Housing Authority Security Department executed a search warrant at McKinley’s apartment.
Law enforcement seized suspected heroin, suspected cocaine and over $1500 cash, and they said they seized additional evidence of drug trafficking.
All arrestees were placed in the Scioto County Jail and were to be arraigned in Portsmouth Municipal Court Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 9:00 a.m.
The case will be submitted to the Scioto County Prosecutors Office to be presented to a Scioto County grand jury for the consideration of additional felony drug offenses.
