Drugs, cash, a gun, other property, confiscated in Timmond Ave. Portsmouth search warrant

Four people have been arrested as the result of the execution of a search warrant Tuesday morning at 1916 Timmonds Ave. Bernard Truett, 36, of Linden Avenue, Portsmouth, Ohio, 39-year-old Anthony Dudley of East 12th Avenue, Columbus, Ohio, 34-year-old Angel Goins of North Terrace Avenue, Columbus, Ohio, and 40-year-old Melissa Hollins of the Timmonds Avenue address were arrested and charged with trafficking in heroin, a felony of the fourth degree.

At 10:27 a.m., the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force with the assistance of officers and detectives with the Portsmouth Police Department along with detectives from the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office executed the search warrant. Detectives said they seized several grams of suspected heroin, approximately $570 cash, a shotgun and property believed to be derived from the proceeds of drug trafficking.

All arrestees were placed in the Scioto County Jail and were arraigned at 9 a.m.,Wednesday, in Portsmouth Municipal Court.

The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are expected.

The case will be submitted to the Scioto County Prosecutors Office to be presented to a Scioto County grand jury for the consideration of additional felony drug offenses.
