PORTSMOUTH – Hill View Retirement Center will soon take a bus load to a Interactive Murder Mystery Dinner Party, “Murder at the USO” to be held in Milton , W.Va. on Saturday, April 23, with departure time at 5 p.m.

Hill View Retirement Center is gearing up to attend “Murder at the USO” at the Milton Performing Arts Center Milton, W.Va. which will begin at 7 p.m.

Angela Adams, outreach director at Hill View, said The Murder Mystery Party will include a buffet dinner and booklet to track the details of “Murder at the USO.”

“We are not completely book, we still have space. “It is a Murder Mystery Party, and participants will be served a buffet dinner first. Guests will then receive a clue booklet, that will give them the details on the mystery and on the characters, and there is a section to take notes,” Adams said. “Then the murder play will start, and then towards the end of course, guests are to figure out who committed the murder. It is interactive with the audience of course, and it is going to be so exciting.”

“Murder at the USO” has a compelling plot, and is a 1944 in Paris, France. American troops have rescued the city, and American entertainers have arrived to perform for the troops. But one of the performers is a Nazi sympathizer and has plans to kill an American spy. Detective Hercule Parrott is on hand to solve the mystery, according to Adams.

George R. Snider III created Murder and Merriment. He has experience writing and developing murder mystery parties since 1988. With over 40 years of acting credits and 25 years of directing theatrical productions, George brings a valuable set of skills to ensure high class entertainment.

The performers come from a talent pool of experienced actors from West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky. The murder mystery will furnish you with a cast size of eight to 10 actors. Coupled with intriguing mystery stories, the performers have made productions a hit with audiences everywhere they have been performed.

“I just spoke with Greg Meadows, he is over the Milton Performing Arts Center, and this one has exceeded their expectations, four-fold,” she said. “They have had a lot of people interested in it, and coming to it. They have had to actually reconfigure their Performing Arts Center three, or four times, because they just keep getting more and more people interested.”

Adams said Hill View still has some space open for more guests to attend the Murder Mystery Party. The cost to attend is $53.50 per person, which includes round trip Transportation from Hill View.
