The Division of State Fire Marshal’s Fire & Explosion Investigation Bureau is seeking information from the public regarding a fire that was intentionally set. Investigators have ruled a fire at 320 North Street in Waverly on Thursday, April 7, as arson.

The fire occurred just after 11:30 p.m. The Waverly, Piketon and Pebble Township Fire Departments responded to the scene. The investigation is being conducted in conjunction with the Waverly Police and Fire Departments and the Pike County Sheriff’s Office.

“It’s important that if you heard or saw something out of the ordinary, you let investigators know,” said State Fire Marshal Larry L. Flowers. “That one tip could allow investigators to solve the case.”
