Masked ‘Deadpool’ bank robber arrested

SOUTH POINT — According to reports, the bank robbery committed a man who was wearing a Deadpool mask has been arrested.

According to authorities, on Feb. 26, 2016, at approximately 2 p.m., David M. Martin of Ashland, Ky., walked into a U. S. Bank located in the 700 block of Fourth Street in Southpoint, wearing a Deadpool mask, carrying a red backpack, and wearing a black jacket.

Reports reveal that Martin exposed a handgun, and demanded money from the bank tellers. The suspect reportedly got away with $2,000 in cash.

They say he pulled out a black handgun and told the tellers to give him money. He got away with approximately $2,000 in cash. Martin was arrested by officers of the South Point Police Department on March 15, 2016, and transported to the Greenup County Detention Center.

Martin has been charged with aggravated bank robbery, a first-degree felony. Martin is being held in the Greenup County Kentucky Detention Center, and according to the Detention Center records, other charges for Martin include wanton endangerment first degree, menacing, wanton endangerment – police officer, resisting arrest, and fleeing or evading police first degree.
