PORTSMOUTH —Tammy Moore will present a three part series, ‘Professional Polish for Women’ to be held at the Welcome Center, 342 Second Street in downtown Portsmouth beginning March 24, with registration at 11:30 a.m. and meeting at noon.

Moore is a professional speaker, and is the creator and facilitator of Professional Polish for Women. She said she put the Polish series sessions together as a result of her own personal experience.

“Polish has been something that I have experienced over the years, and I felt there was a need for women who perhaps are like me and need that acceptance of self, and confidence booster,” Moore said. “I felt like other women could benefit from what I have been through, and I wanted to share with them how I came out of it on the other side.”

Polish focuses on six essential areas: Personality, Opportunity, Leadership, Image, Self-Confidence, and Health. Polish will help women cleanse emotional impurities, strengthen your positive attitude, and allow you to shine with personal acceptance and self-confidence.

Participants will learn:

• Your uniqueness

• How others see you

• How everyone can lead

• How to put your look together

• Etiquette essentials

•Health and humor tips

Moore is certain that women who attend the sessions will benefit in many ways.

“I think they will gain acceptance of themselves. I think fear stands in the way of a lot of women in being afraid to try something because fear of the unknown,” Moore said. “What I hope ‘Polish’ will do is help them to eliminate that fear so that they are willing to try new things, and in doing that they’re going to discover a beautiful side of themselves that they’ve been hiding.”

She views the Polish sessions in essence as an identity makeover.

“The way I look at it is, it is an identity makeover. Yes, we are going to talk about hair, make up, image and clothing, and all of those types of things, but it is an identity makeover from the inside out,” Moore said. “And until we deal with the heart and the fear, and the anxiety and get that calmed down inside. So when I say its an identity makeover from the inside out, we’re going to shine the inside which is going to make the outside shine for everyone else to see.”

Lisa Carver, executive director of the Portsmouth Area Chamber of Commerce, said Moore’s Polish series encompasses everything that women need to grow on a professional level.

“An event for professional women is something the chamber has wanted to put together for a long time and I knew Tammy Moore was the one to do it. She has put together a series that covers the essentials for every women who wants to gain confidence and grow professionally.”
