Notre Dame Elementary has been chosen to receive a Responsive Grant from the Catholic Foundation in the amount of $12,447.00 for a Bathroom Extreme Make-Over Project.

“We have a boy’s restroom and girl’s restroom as well as a nurse’s room and teacher’s lounge. These are the areas to be addressed. Our school will be 100 years old next October. This is the grade school I attended in the 60’s and not much has changed in these areas other than painting and plumbing repairs, the last update was over 5 years ago, and we installed some new urinals in the boy’s bathroom.” said Principal Ann Kempf.

The Catholic Foundation is a non-profit autonomous organization that receives and manages assets to provide funding for the parishes, schools and ministries within the Catholic community.

Notre Dame Elementary is grateful to the donors who contribute to The Catholic Foundation that makes these grants possible.

“We are thrilled to receive this wonderful grant, in the last five years we have received over $75,000 in grants from the Catholic Foundation,” said Kempf.

Kempf says renovations to the bathrooms will begin during the school’s spring break.
