The Governing Board of the South Central Ohio Educational Service Center met for regular board meeting on Feb. 4, 2016.

Among the actions taken by the board during meeting:

Approved the agenda,

Approved the minutes of the organizational meeting and regular meeting on Jan. 14, 2016,

Took reports from the treasurer, superintendent, and board committees,

Entered into executive session for the purpose of conducting the evaluation of the superintendent/treasurer and discussing appointment/compensation of a public employee,

Appointed Mike Canter to the Scioto County Career Technical Center Board of Education, filling the unexpired term left by the passing of Raymond Belcher on Jan. 9, 2016; term Feb. 4, 2016, until Dec. 31, 2016,

Appointed Lowell Howard to the South Central Ohio Educational Service Center Governing Board of Education, filling the unexpired term left by the passing of Raymond Belcher on Jan. 9, 2016; term Feb. 4, 2016, until Dec. 31, 2017,

Appointed committee members,

Authorized fund advances and/or transfer of funds,

Approved a resolution to employee substitute employees from 2015-16 – Leanne Allen, Sweden Carter, Kaitlin Gable, Chaise Hall, Jarod Smith, Ashlee Hicks, Britany King, Juanita Montieth, and Brittany Zetting,

Accepted the resignation of Dustin Keslar, effective Feb. 10, 2016; and,

Authorized employment of Jamie Garcia.
