A Scioto County woman is facing charges after being arrested for operating a meth lab in a car wash. Carrie Lynn Mizenko, 34, of McNamer Brown Rd., Lucasville was arraigned in both Portsmouth Municipal Court and Scioto County Common Pkleas Court on Monday.
According to the official report, Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016 at approximately 8 p.m., while assisting the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office, troopers from the Ohio Highway State Patrol were investigating a complaint of a woman spray painting a four-wheeled all terrain vehicle in a self service car wash located in the 8400 block of Ohio 335 in Minford, Ohio. During their investigation, troopers said they discovered an active one pot methamphetamine lab in the wash bay. Detectives from the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force responded upon request to assist in the investigation.
Detectives processed the scene; removing the meth lab as well as additional chemicals and materials used to manufacture methamphetamine.
Mizenko was arrested and charged with illegal manufacture of methamphetamine, a felony of the second degree, illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of methamphetamine, a felony of the third degree, and possessing drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor of the fourth degree.
Investigators said Mizenko also had an outstanding warrant on indictment for her arrest for methamphetamine manufacturing that had been issued by the Scioto County Common Pleas Court for a case that had been previously been presented to a Scioto County grand jury by task force detectives and the Scioto County Prosecutor’s Office.
Mizenko was placed in the Scioto County Jail and is being held on $177,500 bond.
The case against Mizenko will be forwarded to the Scioto County Prosecutor’s Office to be presented to a Scioto County grand jury.
