This is Zero Tackle’s guide to live streaming the game online, or watching it on TV.

How to watch State of Origin Game 2 on TV

Unlike the remainder of the NRL regular season, there will only be one way to watch the 2024 State of Origin series.

As has been the case in previous seasons, Channel 9 hold the exclusive rights to the interstate clash, with the network to broadcast Game 2 from 7pm (AEST) on their main channel.

For other states, check your electronic guides to confirm the start time.

The coverage of Origin will allow for a pre-game of a little over an hour before kick-off at 8:05pm (AEST).

Channel 9 can be found on Channel 90 in high definition, 91 in standard definition or 100 if watching through a Foxtel service.

As always, however, Origin games typically kick off slightly later than the official schedule.

As such, don’t expect the actual football to get underway until closer to 8.10pm.

Gone are the days of the Queensland Origin side being chock-full of Melbourne Storm players who are used to playing in nearly arctic conditions.

A typically cold Melbourne night might suit the Blues more, but the Maroons look as though they’ve got lucky with the forecast.

According to the BoM, the temperature in the Victorian capital will be a balmy 11C by kick off, and only drop to 10C by the end of the match.

But, there could be some showers around the city late in the match which could provide a late twist.

Maroons coach Billy Slater has clearly been looking at the forecast too.

“I feel that we’ve been dealt a pretty good hand here, this is quite mild for Melbourne,” he said on Today on Wednesday morning.

“The weather is pretty good. We’re not whingeing about that – we will play anywhere.”

Maguire was pressed by host Sarah Abo for a message to Slater on game day.

“The old glass houses has definitely made its mark – but the people I’m referring to there understand who it is,” he said.

“I’ll leave it at that.

Slater suggested the war of words wouldn’t have made its way back to the players.

“At the end of the day Madge and I aren’t p
