Latest Wimbledon News:
In a recent update from Wimbledon, Andy Murray has withdrawn from singles due to a cyst removal surgery on his spine. The two-time Wimbledon champion will, however, make a special appearance in the doubles tournament with his brother, Jamie Murray.

Andy Murray’s Announcement:
Andy Murray, who had surgery to remove a cyst from his spine, expressed his disappointment at not being able to compete in singles. “I wanted to play in the tournament and have a chance to walk out on Centre Court again. But I didn’t feel competitive enough today,” Murray said.

He added, “I’m sorry for everyone who wanted to support and watch me. It was important for me to do that with my closest friends, family, and team. Unfortunately, the timing was horrible, and the surgery was complex.”

Murray, who won Wimbledon in 2013 and 2016, was planning to retire after the Paris Olympics later this month. Despite his injury struggles, Murray remains a celebrated figure in tennis, known for his resilience and advocacy for women in the sport.

Djokovic on Murray:
Novak Djokovic praised Murray, saying, “His will to push and see how far he can go, even with an artificial hip, is inspiring. He has left a great mark on and off the court.”

Murray has been training at the All England Club and will compete in doubles with his brother Jamie. This marks a special moment for the Murray brothers at Wimbledon.

Don’t miss the chance to watch Novak Djokovic vs. Jacob Fearnley live and witness the thrilling action of Wimbledon 2024.
