Search is on for Pike road rage shooting suspect

A man is being sought in connection with a Pike County road rage shooting Monday.

According to the Pike County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened in the area of Fairview and Lapperell roads. The compaint stemmed from an allaged road rage incident between two drivers. The caller to Pike County 911 reported the alleged shooter was driving a red 2010 Chevrolet HHR.

Pike County sheriff’s deputies patrolled the area but didn’t find the vehicle, but later found it on Grassy Fork Road and pursued. The pursuit ended near the 1,000 block of Zion Road, where the driver fled into the woods on foot toward Hackelshein Road.

The driver was identified as Josh Bailey, 43, of Williamsport, and the passenger as Misty Rinehart, 41, of Bainbridge. Bailey is believed armed and dangerous. Bailey was last seen wearing a black shirt with camouflage pants.

Warrants have been issued for Bailey’s arrest for aggravated menacing, mishandling a firearm in a motor vehicle, and fleeing and eluding.
