SATURDAY, Oct. 5

CRAFT FAIR AT THE LEGION—Join the fun at the craft fair at the American Legion Hall in Minford. Setup begins at 10 a.m. and the events run until 6 p.m.

MAIN STREET FARMERS MARKET—The last day of the season for Main Street Portsmouth In Bloom Farmers Market. The farmers market opens at 9 a.m. on the Roy Rogers Esplanade in downtown Portsmouth.

GLOCKTOBERFEST WEEKEND—The Friends of Portsmouth present this weekend extravaganza at Market Square Park in the Boneyfiddle area of Portsmouth. Beer, food, and music! More than 20 breweries will be featured, as well as food trucks and live music. This event runs from noon to 5 p.m.

SUNDAY, Oct. 6

GLOCKTOBERFEST WEEKEND—The Friends of Portsmouth present this weekend extravaganza in the Boneyfiddle part of Portsmouth. Beer, food, and music! More than 20 breweries will be featured, as well as food trucks and live music. This event runs from noon to 5 p.m.

BBQ BRAWL—Check out some of the best food trucks in southern Ohio at the 1st Annual BBQ Brawl. This event will run 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Valley Wholesale Foods, Market Street, Portsmouth. Food prices are set by the vendor.

RUSH TWP. FIRE PARADE and DINNER—The Rush Township Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary will be hosting the annual fire prevention parade and dinner. Meals will be served beginning at 11 a.m.

MONDAY, Oct. 7

PORTER TRUSTEES—The Porter Township trustees will conduct its regular meeting at 4:30 p.m., at the Porter Township Hall, 1535 Dogwood Ridge Road, Wheelersburg.

RARDEN TRUSTEES—The Rarden Township trustees will meet at 7 p.m., 75 Barker St., McDermott.

CLAY TRUSTEES—The Clay Township trustees will meet at 7 p.m., at the senior center at the Clay Industrial Park, 107 N. Arrowhead Road. The trustees have set the regular township meetings for the year to be at 7 p.m., on the third Monday of each month.

FREE PLANETARIUM SHOW—A free show will be offered at 7 p.m. at the Clark Planetarium in the Advanced Technology Center on the campus of Shawnee State University. Free shows are offered Mondays and Thursdays. Learn more about the planetarium’s shows at www.shawnee.edu/planetarium.

TUESDAY, Oct. 8

BEST PAGEANT EVER—Join the Friends of Portsmouth for a special pre-release screening of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, the film based on the story written by Portsmouth native Barbara Robinson. The curtain goes up at 7 p.m. at the Vern Riffe Center for the Arts, 940 Second St., Portsmouth. There is no charge to attend, but please RSVP to themoviescreener.com so planners have an estimated crowd count.
