BOARD OF ELECTIONS—The Scioto County Board of Elections will have its regular meeting at 3 p.m., at the Scioto County Courthouse, 602 Sixth St., Room 105, Portsmouth.

MEET THE DEVELOPERS—Are you curious about redevelopment and jobs coming to the former Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant? There’s a unique opportunity to meet and hear from the developers involved in the project, as well as from the U.S. Department of Energy on cleanup and other activities at the site. This event is sponsored by the Portsmouth Area Chamber of Commerce and starts at 4 p.m. at the Scioto County Welcome Center, 342 Second St., Portsmouth.

WASHINGTON TRUSTEES—The Washington Township trustees meet at 7 p.m., at the township building on U.S. 52.

BRUSH CREEK TRUSTEES—The Brush Creek Township trustees meet at 7 p.m., at the township hall in Otway.

COUNTY COMMISSIONERS—The Scioto County Commissioners will meet in regular session at 9:30 a.m., on the third floor of the Scioto County Courthouse, 602 Seventh St., Portsmouth. The commissioners meeting is also livestreamed on their Facebook page.

VALLEY TRUSTEES—The Valley Township trustees will meet at 6 p.m. at the community building, 459 Robert Lucas Road, Lucasville.

GREENUP FARMERS MARKET—The Greenup County Farmers’ Market will be in downtown Russell. all (606) 836-0201 for more information. This farmers’ market runs 4 to 7 p.m. Thursdays through Sept. 26.

FREE PLANETARIUM SHOW—A free show will be offered at 7 p.m. at the Clark Planetarium in the Advanced Technology Center on the campus of Shawnee State University. Free shows are offered Mondays and Thursdays. Learn more about the planetarium’s shows at www.shawnee.edu/planetarium.

OHIO MEANS JOBS VAN—Ohio Means Jobs Pike County’s Van on the Road is scheduled to visit the mobile food pantry at Williams Hardware, 617 S. West St., Piketon. There will be information about job and training resources and support services for local job seekers through grant funds. SSU ALUMNI SOCIAL—Celebrate the first day of SSU’s Homecoming weekend with alumni and friends at the Port City Pub, 424 Chillicothe St., Portsmouth. This mixer runs 6 to 8 p.m. and is sponsored by the SSU Alumni Association. RSVP at shawneestatealumni.com.

FINAL FRIDAY— It’s Ladies’ Night, y’all! Check out the Ladies of Longford and Sasha Colette and the Magnolias musical acts at this Final Friday season finale at Three Bridges, 132 Second St., Portsmouth. The outdoor fun starts at 5:30 p.m. Bring a chair or blanket and check out the free shuttle service that stops at local restaurants and hotels. Vendors and food will be available on site.

HAUNTED ASYLUM—Be freaked out and creeped out at the RC Haunted Asylum this season, horrific Halloween fiends! Stop by any Friday or Saturday from 8 p.m. to midnight, or last person through the door at 20 Antique Loop, South Shore.

MAIN STREET FARMERS MARKET—The Main Street Portsmouth In Bloom Farmers Market is back! The farmers market opens at 9 a.m. on the Roy Rogers Esplanade in downtown Portsmouth.

GREENUP FARMERS MARKET—Last day for the Greenup County Farmers’ Market! This event will begin at 9 a.m. at 35 Wurtland Ave., Greenup. Call (606) 836-0201 for more information. This farmers’ market runs 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
