Scioto County Engineer Darren C. LeBrun has announced the work schedule for the week of September 16-20 for the engineer’s department. All dates are weather permitting.

Contractor Work

Ohio River Road in Porter Township will have traffic maintained with the use of flaggers periodically as work continues between Whitcomb Street and Ohio 522.

Road Closures

Pond Run in Nile Township will be closed day and night at the 0.46-mile marker for about 90 days. Contractors will be replacing a bridge.

Stillwater in Valley Township will be closed Monday, Sept. 16, through Friday, Sept. 20 at the 0.07-mile marker between Breckenridge Drive and Rockford Drive. County crews will be replacing a culvert.

Paving

The Shelly Co. will be paving Friday, Sept. 20. One lane will be maintained with the use of flaggers. This will affect Bull Run Road, Dever Road, and Luther Road in Madison Township.

Mowing

-Poplar Fork and Sheldon Cartro in Green and Vernon Ttownships

-Junior Road, Ohio Furnace and Big Pete Road in Green Township

-Turkey Foot Road in Vernon Township

-Bussey Road and Gallia Pike in Porter and Vernon townships
