Brooklyn Frazie has been found guilty and was sentenced to life in prison in in connection with the 2023 high-speed chase death of her boyfriend, Scott Donahoe. She will not be eligible for parole for 34 years.

“Ms. Frazie was convicted of aggravated murder and all the remaining counts in the indictment. She was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole until she serves at least 34 years,” said Scioto County Prosecutor Shane Tieman. “My prayers are with Mr. Donahoe’s family as they continue to mourn his loss.”

Frazie, of Shumway Hollow, has been incarcerated at the Scioto County Jail since Sept. 28, after she engaged in a high-speed chase Donahoe from near Minford to New Boston. She, in an SUV, ran over Donahoe, who was riding a motorcycle. It was reported the pair had fought just before Donahoe left the Swauger Valley scene and Frazie chased him on Ohio 823 to Ohio 335 then Ohio 140 to U.S. 52.

She caught up to him in New Boston in front of the CVS Pharmacy at the intersection of U.S. 52 and Ohio 139. There, she ran over him in front of witnesses. The incident was also caught on the security cameras of nearby businesses.

“Eyewitnesses observed Frazie drive into the rear of Mr. Donahoe’s motorcycle, causing him to crash and for him to fall to the pavement,” the prosecutor’s office stated in a news release. “Frazie then continued to drive forward, dragging Donahoe an additional 58 feet under her vehicle. The evidence further demonstrated that Frazie backed up over Donahoe prior to being stopped by eyewitnesses who intervened.”

Eywitnesses then began providing first aid and removing the vehicle from atop Donahoe with jacks and other tools until first responders arrived.

Donahoe sustained 14 rib fractures and a severely lacerated liver, as determined by an autopsy. His cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma.

Frazie also faced three counts of murder, two counts of felonious assault, attempted failure to stop after an accident, inducing panic, operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, operation in willful and wanton disregard of the safety of others, aggravated possession of drugs, and two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide.

Frazie was found guity during a week-long jury trial in the Scioto County Common Pleas Courtroom of Judge Mark Kuhn.

“I wish to thank the prosecution team, led by Criminal Division Chief Julie Cook-Hutchinson and Assistant Prosecutor Matt Loesch—both do such an outstanding job ensuring that truth and justice are served,” Tieman said. “I would also like to thank our first responders, law enforcement agencies and the citizens who stepped forward to assist in this case.”

Frazie was represented by local attorney Christine Scott.

Frazie claimed on first responders’ body camera footage that Donahoe crashed in front of her, which eyewitnesses contradicted.
