PDT Sports Report

Although Zane Trace and host Valley were to play a doubleheader Saturday, it was as if the two teams played three games when they left the diamond.

The Pioneers went back to Ross County with a two-game sweep, winning 4-2 in 14 innings and 6-0 in the finale.

In the opener, Zane Trace scored the deciding runs in the top of the 14th inning. Nate Arnett and Jonah Garrett were each 3-for-6 at the plate for the Indians with Arnett accounting for a pair of doubles.

Valley hosts West Monday before the Indians start their defense of the Division IV Southeast District Championship.
