A West Virginia man is facing felony drug charges following a traffic stop Thursday in Scioto County. Curtis D. Williamson II, 40, was charged with possession of cocaine, a felony of the first degree.

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers said they stopped a 2012 Chevrolet Impala on U.S. 23 in Lucasville for a moving violation. After that vehicle was stopped, trooper said an odor of marijuana was detected and marijuana residue was viewed on the driver’s side floor.

During a search of the vehicle, a baggie containing approximately 28 grams of cocaine was located. Troopers estimated the cocaine had a street value of $2,800.

Wilson was incarcerated in the Scioto County Jail.
