The East softball team split a doubleheader Saturday with host West Union.


Jessie Monroe was a combined 6-for- 9 in the two games, including hitting the go-ahead three-run triple in the top of the sixth to give the Tartans a 6-5 win in the finale. East dropped the opener 9-6.


The Tartans travel Monday to Western.
