Floyd Gilliam, 65
Floyd William “Slick” Gilliam, 65, of Lucasville, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at his residence.
He was born March 27, 1947, in Portsmouth, a son of the late Willie and Frances Bauer Gilliam.
Slick was a retired carpenter and co-owner and operator of Flowers by Vina.
He is survived by his wife, Vina Lou Dodds Gilliam; three daughters, Angela Gilliam of Bay City, Michigan, Andrea “Annie” Gilliam of Lucasville, and Amy Gilliam of Lucasville; one son, Dale Hunt of Gambrills, Maryland; 10 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
He was also preceded in death by two sons, Christopher Gilliam and Vaughn “Chip” Hunt; and one sister, Phyllis Gilliam.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013, in Lucasville Cemetery with Brian Baer officiating. Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville.
