Lois W Vetter 85


Lois W Vetter, 85, of Portsmouth, died Friday March 1,2013 at SOMC Hospice. She was born January 16, l928 at Cincinnati, the daughter of the late Leo and Ida Wenstrup. Lois attended Mt. St. Joseph College where she studied Art. She was an employee of Kenricks where she worked for eighteen years and a member of St Mary Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband John Vetter, March 30, l982. she was also preceded in death by three sisters Ruth Allen, Mary Rabaut, Jean Wenstrup, one brother Jack Wenstrup, and a daughter-in-law Ellen Vetter. Surviving are three sons Jack Vetter of Portsmouth, Daniel Vetter of Portsmouth, Bruce (Melissa) Vetter of Columbus; four daughters Mary Lou Vetter of New York, Jan (Peter) Cunningham of New York, Regina Chabot of Portsmouth, Monica (Steve) Arms of Portsmouth; and a special friend Martha Sleeper Gilliam of Muncie, Ind.; sixteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; one brother Lee Wenstrup of Cincinnati.


Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 6,2013 at St Mary Catholic Church with Rev Adam Streitenberger officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at Melcher Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Recitation of the Rosary will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Melcher Funeral Home. The family would like to give thanks to SOMC Hospice for their special care. In lieu of flowers, donations can made to SOMC Hospice.
