Mary Crawford, 83

Mary B. Crawford, 83, of Portsmouth, died Monday morning Feb. 25, 2013, at Hillview Retirement Center.

She was born April 19, 1929, in Portsmouth to the late Floyd and Badie Taylor Pollard.

Mary was a member of Carey’s Run Church of Christ and had worked at Selby Shoe Company, Flannery Nursing Home, and Martings Department Store.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Crawford, three sons; Jackie, Michael, and Stephen Crawford, a grandson, Steven Kyle Harris, and five brothers; Stan, Ora, Les, Don, and Ralph Pollard.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Tammy Harris (Kevin) of Portsmouth, a granddaughter, Erin Harris of Portsmouth, four brothers; Wayne Pollard of Portsmouth, Floyd Pollard Jr (Carrie) of West Portsmouth, Ron Pollard (Martha) of West Portsmouth, and Leroy Pollard (Wanda) of Findley, two sisters; Ola Fraley of West Portsmouth and Audrey Ferguson (Vincent) of West Portsmouth, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2013, at Melcher Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Danny Bentley officiating. Interment will follow at Scioto Burial Park in Rush Township. Friends may call at Melcher Funeral Home on Thursday from 5-8 p.m.
