Rocky Swearingen, 53

Rocky Dale Swearingen, 53, of Weirsdale, Fla., passed away on Feb. 21, 2013.

Rocky was born in Tacoma, Wash., on Sept. 14, 1959. He graduated from Portsmouth West High School and enlisted into the USMC after graduating school. After his discharge from service he worked several years as a carpenter and was small engine repairman at a family owned business. Rocky enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports.

Rocky is survived by parents; Wilbur L. and Janet D. Swearingen and by brothers; Ricky, Gregory and Terry Swearingen and by sister; Tracy Swearingen and by his son Rocky D. Swearingen, II.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be given to Cornerstone Hospice, The Villages, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, Fla., 32778.
