Laura Daub, 82
Laura Berta Daub, 82, of Portsmouth, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was born July 4, 1930, in Heidelberg, Germany, a daughter of the late Richard Christian Justus and Emma Kolb Scheid.
Laura was a homemaker and of the Episcopal faith. She was a member of the Red Hat Society Forty-Niners.
She was preceded in death December 6, 2011 by her husband, Ronald Sidney Daub, Sr., whom she married in Heidelberg, Germany.
Surviving Laura are two sons, Harald (Darlene) Daub, and Richard A. Daub, all of Portsmouth; two daughters, Barbara Welch of Vero Beach, Fla., and Elisabeth (Rick) Stevens of Portsmouth; a daughter-in-law, Judy Daub of Portsmouth; a sister, Elisabeth Brehm of Nussloch, Germany; eight grandchildren, Justin (Brenda) Daub, Stephanie Welch, Kerry (Greg) Pearsaul, Ronald A. Daub, Amy Daub, Erik Stevens, Lauren Stevens and Kyle Stevens; and two great-grandchildren, Jacob Horn and Christopher Daub.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Ronald Daub, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the RALPH F. SCOTT FUNERAL HOME in Portsmouth with Rev. Peter Michael officiating and interment in Greenlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour.
