Women from churches in the local community came together at Pleasant Green Baptist Church for the Women’s Fellowship event Saturday.

The Mistress of Ceremony for the Women’s Fellowship event was Belinda Greene of Pleasant Green.

The event opened with prayer by Zanetta Rigsbee, also a member of Pleasant Green.

Hortense Robinson, the coordinator of the event said the event was a success.

“I really enjoyed the speaker, and I believe that everything went extremely well today,” Robinson said.

Ruby Segar-Gray, an Evangelist of Kingdom Daughters United Ministries Ministries of Cincinnati was the guest speaker for the event. Segar was introduced by her sister, Laura Walker of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

The speaker asked the crowd to greet one another, and to encouraging words another person.

The guests were provided with a full meal for lunch. A musical medley was rendered by Minister Vi Hill of Kingdom Builders Evangelistic Ministries, Inc.

Charis Davis, also of Kingdom Builders, performed an interpretive praise dance during the event.

Gray engaged the audience with laughter many times, with light-hearted jokes that appeared to gain the audience’s attention.

The speaker’s theme was the exposition of the word indispensable.

“God’s Spirit of God is absolutely necessary for all Christians and must be an intrical part of our character,” Gray said.

Gray also challenged the audience to serve in whatever capacity that they are called to serve in, and to prepare for themselves, and to believe that God is able to provide for them.
