With all the controversy surrounding gun control issues and keeping guns out of the hands of criminals, some lawbreakers are still utilizing the same old method they have always used — stealing guns from private owners. A residence on Ohio 776 in Beaver discovered it was the target of thieves Saturday.
Taken in that entry were a 12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun, valued at $400; a 50-caliber stainless steel muzzleloader, valued at $350; a 12-gauge pump shotgun, valued at $450; a .243 bolt-action stainless steel rifle, valued at $600, and a 9 millimeter semi-automatic pistol, valued at $400.
In addition to the guns, thieves took a check book, as well as inhalers, blood pressure medicines, and heart medicine, with a value of $1,500; a 12-inch television, valued at $100, and Nikon binoculars, valued at $250.
