A 17-point night from Seth Goddard highlighted a strong night for visiting South Webster in its 65-25 nonconference win over Clay.


Levi Cook had a baker’s dozen for the Jeeps while Jensen Dyer added 12 in the win. Eldin Sarajlic paced the Panthers with 13.


South Webster goes to Valley Friday night. Clay hosts Notre Dame.

Three players were in double figures for visiting East, led by Mercedes Tackett’s 23 points, as the Tartans took Tuesday’s 61-48 girls nonleague game at Ashland (Ky.) Rose Hill Christian.


Tiffany Craft and Jessie Monroe each had 13 points in the win. East will entertain Green Thursday night for Senior Night.

Ashlee Lawhorn tied for the game-high scoring honors Tuesday night as host Piketon defeated SVC foe Zane Trace 38-35.

Lawhorn finished with 14 points as teammate Kalen Jenkins added 10 points and eight rebounds in the win for the Redstreaks. Piketon finishes its regular season Thursday night at Chillicothe Huntington.

NEWS AND NOTES: A pair of area boys basketball games were postponed Tuesday. The Northwest at Eastern and River Valley at Oak Hill contests were casualties of the weather.

The River Valley-Oak Hill game is slated to be made up Feb. 13. The Northwest-Eastern contest has yet to set a makeup date.
