Mercedes Tackett led visiting East with 16 points Monday night but the Tartans lost a 58-33 nonconference girls game to Ironton St. Joseph.


East was 3-for-7 from the line while the Flyers’ Hannah Miller was 11-of-14 from the charity stripe for a game-high 21 points. The Tartans are back on the road Tuesday with their male counterparts at Ashland (Ky.) Rose Hill Christian. The doubleheader was originally slated for last Saturday.
