A balanced overtime attack by visiting Oak Hill Friday night helped the Oaks defeat Valley 73-67 and take a half-game lead in the SOC II standings.

Drew Haislop led all scorers with 29 points while Garrin Stiltner had 22 and Kyle Love had 10 in the win. Brian Rolfe’s 16 and Jordan West, whose 3-pointer with 10 seconds left in regulation sent the game into overtime, had 15 to pace the Indians. Will Howard grabbed eight rebounds and Hayden Dunn finished with seven.

Oak Hill will get River Valley Tuesday. Valley welcomes South Webster Friday and travels next Saturday to Wheelersburg as a part of a makeup.

Notre Dame 75, Western 24

With half of the conference games postponed because of weather-related issues, host Notre Dame capitalized on an opportunity to play Friday night and defeated SOC I foe Western 75-24.

The ringleader of the Titan offense was JP Kayser, who led all scorers with 19 points after being shut out in Tuesday’s win. Jacob Milani had 13 points and five steals while Kevin Lewis finished with 10 points, eight assists and seven steals and Michael Mader contributed with 10 points.

Notre Dame hosts Raceland (Ky.) Saturday night to make up the Dec. 29 game that was postponed. The Notre Dame girls will host Western before the boys game. Each will be varsity-only contests.

The Indians are on the road Tuesday at West Union.

NEWS AND NOTES: Friday’s SOC I boys contests for Eastern at East and New Boston at Symmes Valley were postponed. No dates have been set for either game to be rescheduled.

The Daily Times learned Friday evening that Monday’s Ashland (Ky.) Rose Hill Christian-Green girls contest has been cancelled because of scheduling conflicts and will not be rescheduled. Monday was the date for Senior Night in Franklin Furnace.
