Three people are facing felony drug charges following two separate traffic stops in Scioto County on Tuesday.
At approximately 3:30 p.m., troopers stopped a 1998 Lincoln Towncar on U.S. 23, north of Lucasville, for a traffic violation. After approaching the vehicle, troopers said they observed criminal indicators. State Patrol canine “Vesly” reportedly indicated on the car and the subsequent search revealed 15 grams of cocaine and 299 30 milligram Oxycodone pills.
Susan E. Williams, of Portsmouth, and Grant A. Underwood, of Quincy, Kentucky, were each charged with possession of cocaine and tampering with evidence, both felonies of the third degree. Underwood and Williams were incarcerated in the Scioto County Jail.
At approximately 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, troopers stopped a 2010 Grand Cherokee for a traffic violation. Again, troopers said criminal indicators were observed and a subsequent search revealed four grams of heroin and drug paraphernalia.
Malik M. Williams of Detroit, Michigan, was charged with possession of heroin, a fourth degree felony. And Joshua Blair of East Lynn, West Virginia, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor of the fourth degree and possession of drug abuse instruments a misdemeanor of the first degree. Both men were incarcerated in the Scioto County Jail.
