Valley bounced back from its first SOC II loss of the season by posting a 63-56 road win over South Webster.


Four Indians were in double digits, led by Jordan West’s team-high 12 points. Chris Flowers and Will Howard each had 11 and Hayden Dunn chipped in with 10. Levi Cook (game-high 19 points), Seth Goddard (11) and Andrew Salisbury (10) paced the Jeeps.


Both teams are on the floor Saturday. Valley welcomes Adena and South Webster plays Vinton County in the Beasts of the Southeast Tournament at Chesapeake High School.

Oak Hill 64, Wheelersburg 53

Oak Hill kept at least a share of the SOC II Friday with a 64-53 home win over Wheelersburg.

Garrin Stiltner led all scorers with 23 points. Luke Hammond had 14 and Drew Haislop chipped in with a dozen for the win. Dylan Miller’s 17 and Derek Moore’s 11 topped the Pirates’ scoring column.

The Oaks will be on the road Tuesday to Minford. Wheelersburg welcomes Northwest.

Peebles 71, Ripley 70

A late rally helped visiting Peebles capture a 71-70 SHL win over Ripley.

Beau Justice led all scorers with 29 points as Mason Johnson (17) and Trent Arey (14) aided in the Indians triumph. Johnson also had 10 rebounds.

Peebles will welcome Ironton Saturday.
