Ivarene Prather, 96

Ivarene Prather, 96, of Sunbury passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at Countryview of Sunbury. Born in Londonderry, on June 13, 1916, to the late Kenton and Lona Lyons. She was a homemaker, a secretary working for Marting’s Dept. Store and a member Portsmouth Central Church of Christ.

Surviving; daughter Christina (Donald) Clark of Proctorville, son Reece (Ande) Prather, Grandchildren: Daniel, Cynthia (Matthew)Maxson, Tharon (Jamie) Prather, Great-grandchildren: Lydia and Isaac Maxson, and sister-in-law: Helen Lyons.

Preceded in death by her husband of 54 years: Bryson Prather in 1999, Grandson: Chad Pritchard, as well as brothers Hobart and Rudy (Vina) Lyons.

Friends may call Wednesday 5-7 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR’s 3 at 61, Sunbury, where services will follow at 7 p.m. Friends may also call Thursday 1-2 p.m. at the Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Entombment services will follow at 2 p.m.
