The Southeastern Ohio Athletic League released its All-Conference list this week and five Portsmouth Trojans earned spots between the All-SEOAL team and the Honorable Mention list.

Portsmouth wide receiver and defensive back Alex Dickerson earned a spot on the All-SEOAL team. The sophomore had 50 catches on the season for 601 yards and six touchdowns. He also contributed 29 carries for 126 yards.

The Trojans’ junior quarterback Brandon Wedebrook also garnered All-SEOAL honors after a 2012 campaign that saw him complete 111 passes on 212 attempts. He compiled 1,550 yards, 11 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

In addition to Wedebrook’s passing numbers, he also added 223 yards rushing on 87 carries with two rushing touchdowns.

Junior running back Johnie Charles accepted more hand-offs from Wedebrook than any other Trojan, toting it 124 times for 703 yards and seven touchdowns.

Senior Levi Hall and junior Isiaha Lisath each earned spots on the Honorable Mention list for their 2012 performances. Lisath was a wide receiver and defensive back for the Trojans while Hall was an offensive lineman and linebacker.

Gallia Academy led the conference in All-SEOAL performers with five selections while Chillicothe had the second most with four.

Player of the Year for the conference was Dylan Leffingwell of Warren while the SEOAL Coach of the Year was Mike Eddy of Gallia Academy.

Selections were made by votes from the league’s coaches.
