Albert Boggs

Albert Boggs, 94, of Wheelersburg, died on November 6, 2012, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus. He was born on March 12, 1918 in Portsmouth to James and Bess (Jordan) Boggs. He was a veteran of Unit CI/327th Gin in WWII and member of the 101st Airborne Division, the first division of its kind. He retired from Chrysler in 1983 after 30 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Post 0095 in Xenia as well as the 101st Airborne Division Association.

Albert is survived by three sisters, Betty Sweeney of Xenia, Patricia (Peggy) Rodriquez of McArthur, Gloria Reed of Sciotoville; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen; two brothers, Burlin and Jackie Boggs; two sisters, Ruth Turner and Geneva Carrol.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, November 9, 2012 at Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville with Pastor Clayton Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park with military honors provided by James Dickey Post #23. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Friday at WOLFE-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in Sciotoville. Wolfe - Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville is handling the arrangements.
