Richard Cottle, 92

Richard O. Cottle, 92, of Wheelersburg, passed away Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at the Minford Retirement Center. He was born April 13, 1920, in Portsmouth, a son of the late Daniel and Lena Shepherd Cottle. He had worked for the N&W Railroad, Adams Baking Co., and Nancy Rae Super Market and was an Army Veteran of World War II. Richard is survived by his wife, Mary Louise McKenzie Cottle, whom he married on Nov. 8, 1952, in Manchester, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Howard Cottle, an infant brother and a sister, Mabel Dill. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday Nov. 5, 2012, at the Swick-Bussa-Chamberlin Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Rev. Robert Asbury officiating with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
