A Portsmouth man faces drug charges after being arrested on outstanding warrants. Jack A. Woodson, 47, of 529 B Third St., is charged with possession of drugs - cocaine, drug paraphernalia and two warrants from Portsmouth Municipal Court for failure to appear.
Around 1:20 a.m. Monday, Portsmouth police officers arrested Woodson on two warrants, and while searching him, officers said they found 2.5 grams of a white powder which field tested positive for cocaine. They also located a clear glass tube with a burnt end and Chore Boy inside the tube. Officers said the tube is obviously used to smoke narcotics. Chore Boy is the brand name of a scouring pad used also by people smoking crack to retain some of the cocaine vapors.
Woodson was arrested, processed, then taken to the Scioto County Jail. All items found in his possession were impounded by police.
