The Clay Alumni Association just completed a successful year culminating with the Clay Alumni Banquet held recently at the new Clay School. Our regular scholarship sponsors continued their loyal support while several Clay Alumni Classes stepped up and sponsored a scholarship. Individual donations were also good.

The Clay School Legacy Fund was able to award sixteen (16) $1,000 scholarships, a new record, to members of the Clay Class of 2012. This number of scholarships awarded is the best gauge of our success. We also had a good attendance at the Clay Alumni Banquet.

Simply states we had a great year. We attribute this success to the great teamwork we have between the Clay School Board, administration, teachers and all school employees, Clay Alumni and friends of Clay Schools, along with a great group of Clay Alumni volunteers.

The Officers of the Clay Alumni Association wish to extend our gratitude to the Portsmouth Daily Times for all of the great press coverage you have given us. The press coverage of our activities helps to keep our alumni membership informed and allows them to see their donations in action.

Our thanks to each and everyone who helped the Clay Alumni achieve these great results. The year 2012 was a banner year. With the assistance of our great team, we hope to make the year 2013 an even better year.
