Richard and Rebecca Weghorst will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, June 30, 2012. They were married at the Grant & Summit St. Church of Christ in Portsmouth by Minister Walter Nichols on June 30, 1962. Richard is the son of the late Edgar and Faye Weghorst and Rebecca is the daughter of the late Morris and Thersia Potter. Richard and Rebecca are the proud parents of three children: Paige (Mark) Williams of Wheelersburg, Richard “Dee” (Nikki) Weghorst of Alexandria, Va., and Sarah (Brian) Garven of Athens, Ohio. They are the loving grandparents of Madalyn Williams. Family and friends are invited to attend a reception hosted by their children at the Porter Township Senior Center in Wheelersburg from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 30. No gifts please.
