Calling All Parents and Children Ages 5-12 Years of Age! We are planning and gearing up for our 22nd year of fun and excitement through our “Summer Outreach Camp Program.” This local youth program has been recognized by the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services Board as one of the exemplary prevention programs throughout the State of Ohio. Over the years, we have had the privilege of investing and making a positive difference in the lives of so many of our area youth. And we would love to have your child as part of our fun packed schedule for this summer.
The program, sponsored by The Counseling Center, provides a healthy and fun filled list of exciting and positive alternative choices for 5-12 year olds children who want to fill up their summer calendar with something good to do. The summer schedule include games, field trips, bowling, swimming, arts and crafts projects, team competitions, special guest speakers and a whole host of other great activities. As a result of a long standing relationship with Community Action’s Summer Food program, each child is provided with both a free breakfast and lunch.
The Counseling Center’s summer prevention staff works hard to provide a safe and organized environment where our area youth can come and enjoy themselves, meet new friends and build a scrapbook full of great memories. The program runs for nine weeks, starting on June 4th and concluding on August 3th. The daily schedule is from 9:30 am till 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. This year’s program will kick off on June 4th with a cookout at EZ-Park starting at 10:00 am and running till 2:00 pm. The park is located on the corner of 11th and Waller Street, next to the railroad tracks. Parents are encouraged to bring their children for registration and to learn more about the Summer Outreach Camp Program.
