Stewart D. and Barbara (Hillderbrant) Shoemaker Jr. of Oak Hill will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on May 19, with reception given by their children. The reception will be at Harrison Freewill Baptist Fellowship Hall, St. Rt. 139 in Minford from 1 to 5 p.m. Stewart is the son of the late Stewart D. Shoemaker and the late Pear (Bowman) Shoemaker Lundy, and the stepson of the late Eugene Lundy. Barbara is the daughter of the late Oliver and Dorothy (Allen) Hilderbrant. They were married on May 23, 1962, in Wheelersburg by the late Rev. Robert Meade. Stewart will also be celebrating his 76th birthday the same day. The Stewarts have three children, Tammy Shoemaker, Jeanie (Bob) Chapman, and Matthew (Terra) Shoemaker. They have five grangdchildren.
