Woman faces endangerment charge after drug bust

A woman charged with endangering children by possessing drugs and drug paraphernalia in the same apartment where children were, has been arrested.
Karen McCleese, 36, of 3615 Rhodes Ave., New Boston, is charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug instruments, possession of drug paraphernalia, and endangering children.
According to Capt. Steve Goins of the New Boston Police Department, officers executed a drug search warrant around 10:40 p.m. Saturday at the Rhodes Avenue address. Police obtained a search warrant after receiving information there was drug abuse occurring within the apartment with children also living there.
During the search, officers said they found heroin, a quantity of drug abuse instruments and paraphernalia and needle and syringes, and crack pipes.
McCleese was arrested at the scene, then incarcerated at the Scioto County Jail. Also arrested at the scene was Nigel Harr, 32, of Portsmouth on an outstanding contempt of court charge from Jackson County. He was transported to the county jail where Jackson County authorities were to return him to Jackson County.
