Police arrest three in cocaine bust | Sixteen others place calls for drugs during raid

Portsmouth police arrested three individuals Monday on drug-related charges, during the execution of a search warrant on Ruhlman Avenue. Among the individuals, police arrested a Dayton-area dealer reportedly supplying drugs to the area.

According to police reports, officers executed the search warrant on Monday afternoon at 1026 Ruhlman Ave., after numerous complaints of drug activity, including a controlled purchase of crack cocaine.

Upon executing the warrant, officers say the homeowner, Buddy Adams, 38, refused to open the door. Officers forced entry, and reportedly found Adams with Tasha Stringer, 24, of 220 Germany Hollow Road, Wheelersburg.

After searching the residence, officers discovered about nine grams of crack cocaine and a set of digital scales in a dresser drawer. After Adams and Stringer were advised of their rights, Adams admitted to selling crack cocaine. Also, Stringer admitted to sometimes stealing money from other people so she could purchase crack cocaine from Adams.

While officers were at the residence, it is reported 16 people also called or came by, wanting to purchase crack cocaine.
