According to Saundra Wheeler, the auxiliary’s chairwoman of fundraising, the event is one of two major fundraisers the organization hosts. Proceeds of the event will benefit Wesley Village, which is the memory unit at Hill View.
“We will have six outside venders with jewelry and knitted items in addition to items that Hill View residents have made,” Wheeler said. “In addition, we’re having two sittings for lunch, one at 11 a.m. and one at 12:30 p.m.”
Tickets are $8.50 each.
In addition to raising funds, the event will also help the community prepare for the start of spring; Wheeler said the abundance of Easter-related items should be a big draw for the community.
“We will have Easter items and Easter candy and Easter baskets and those kind of things,” Wheeler said. “The lunches are always very nice. It’s very similar to the Christmas bazaar that we do in December.”
According to auxiliary member Margaret Gordley, many of the venders from their December shows have decided to return for the Spring Luncheon.
In addition to homemade jewelry, knitted wearables and Easter items, the expo will also include homemade candies, baked goods and more.
