Portsmouth Police have released a photo taken from surveillance video of a man they say robbed the PNC Bank branch in Sciotoville late Thursday afternoon.

“At approximately 1 p.m. today, an unknown white male entered PNC Bank in Sciotoville with a note that said he had a gun and demanded money,” Portsmouth Police Capt. Robert Ware said. “He got an undetermined amount of cash and fled on foot.”

The PNC Bank branch is at the corner of Harding and Winchester avenues.

“Anyone with information can call either our Detective Division at (740) 354-1600 or the main dispatch number (740) 353-4101,” Ware said.

In December, the drive-through window at Charter One Bank in Portsmouth was robbed three times in a two-week period.

Dustin Egbert, 26, of Garrison, Ky., was later arrested in Lewis County and brought back to Scioto County to faces charges in that robbery. At that time, authorities were also looking for another suspect in those robberies.
