Trojans lose to Nubians, 57-50

In the first day of the Ironton Classic, the Portsmouth Trojans fell to Africentric Early College Nubians, 57-50.

In the loss, the Trojans were led by Kyre Allison, who led all players on the court with 26 points. Allison also hit four of the seven three-pointers for Portsmouth. He was a perfect 2-2 from the free throw line.

Kendall Reynolds chipped in 18 points for the Trojan cause. He hit the remaining three three-pointers for the Trojans Monday in Ironton.

The Nubians had two players in double-digit scoring, Gordan-Haynes and Smith. Gordan-Haynes led Africentric with 21 points on the night. He shot 80% from the free throw line, hitting four of his five attempts.

Smith followed closely behind finishing with 17 points.
