Trojans race past Dragons

The Portsmouth Trojans won their first OVC contest Friday night with a 35-7 road victory over the Fairland Dragons.

Portsmouth (2-2) was led by sophomore quarterback Cole Lowery who completed 9-of-19 passes for 128 yards and two touchdowns. Lowery also added 83 rushing yards on 17 attempts.

Austin Hollins and Austin Mullins added the other two rushing touchdowns for the Trojans. Trailing 7-6 at the break, Portsmouth scored 29 unanswered points in the second half to take the decisive victory.

The Trojans travel to Ironton next Friday to take on the 0-4 Fighting Tigers.
