The Clay Panthers used a shutout effort from freshman goalie Brayden Queen and a first-half goal by Tyler Knittel to squeak past the Fairland Dragons 1-0 Thursday.

“(We) received great play from freshmen (goal keeper) Brayden Queen,’ Panthers head coach Mark Trapp said. “He earned his first shutout of the season.”

Queen recorded four saves on his way to posting the goose egg. Clay (4-2-1) will face New Boston at home in an SOC I match Tuesday.
