West volleyball sweeps in win over Mohawks

The West volleyball team rolled to a win on Tuesday evening, sweeping Northwest in straight sets, 25-23, 25-10, 25-14.

The Senators (4-2, 2-1 SOC II) were led by junior Terra Butcher, who picked up a match-high 11 kills. West also got big nights from Haleigh Throckmorton (seven kills), Madisyn Dillow (six kills) and Gracie Evans (10 digs).

Despite the loss, Northwest senior Alexus Lisath recorded a team-high six kills and 12 kills. Sophomore Mollie Ferrar led the way defensively for the Mohawks with 13 kills.

Both teams are back in action on Thursday, as West hosts Minford and Northwest travels to Waverly.
